Community: Caring For Each Other
Are You Willing to Tear the Roof Off?
Join us at 11:00 am as we continue our COMMUNITY series with a look at one of the most radical displays of friendship in the Bible: Mark 2:1-12.
We’ve all seen people get "recklessly passionate" about things like CrossFit, Roblox, or the Dodgers. But what if we brought that same intensity to our faith? In this story, four friends were so desperate to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus that they didn't let a crowded house stop them—they literally dug through the roof to lower him down.
Today, we’re diving into what it means to care for each other deeply:
It’s a Team Sport: You don’t have to do it all. Whether you are digging through the roof, holding a corner of the mat, or bringing a casserole to a grieving neighbor, we all have a part to play.
Breaking the "Fortress": We often hide in our "fortresses of solitude," but real community requires us to get messy and move past our comfort zones.
The Most Important Work: Bringing people to Jesus can be awkward and heart-wrenching, but it gives life more meaning than anything else you could pursue.
Our world is desperate for friends who will "tear the roof off" for them. Whether you’re the one carrying the mat or the one being lowered down, there is a place for you in this story.
