This Month...

November is all about God's Promises!

Promises, we all have made them, and we all have broken them. It is not easy to always keep our promises to ourselves, to others, and to God, but thankfully, God is not a man that He might lie! (Numbers 23:19). Every child you encounter this month will have had promises made to them broken, and they will have broken promises that they have made. It is obvious to understand how we can find it difficult to trust what others say. We hope that this month you will help kids see that God is not like man; every promise God makes, He keeps.

This month kids will learn that God can be trusted and that He is faithful and just. God made a promise to Noah, to Abraham and Sarah, to Jacob, to David, and to us. Each promise God made He kept. He promised to rescue Noah from the flood, and He did! God promised to make Abraham a great nation even though Sarah was too old to bear children, and He did!

He promised to be with Jacob everywhere he went, and He was! God promised David that He would go with him and help him in his fight against a giant, and He did! God promised to send a Savior to save people from sin, and He did!

Over and over again, kids can see evidence of God’s faithfulness, not just to the people in the Bible, but to each of us. We pray that kids will see that although the stories in the Bible happened many years ago, they are still relevant to our lives today. Because of His great love for us, kids can trust that God keeps His promise to never leave or forsake them.

Other Resources

Social Media

Every Sunday at Noon, we post ways to Continue the Conversation that we started at EC Kids that week. Your family can use these conversation starters on the way home, at lunch after church, or during the week!

Use the links below to find our social media pages and follow us for weekly updates, pictures, and more!

Parent Newsletter

Our mission at Eastland Kids is to partner with parents to build the foundations of faith. One way we partner with you is through a monthly newsletter!

On the first Monday of the month, each month, I will send out a newsletter highlighting upcoming events, sharing cool resources for kids and parents, inviting you to jump in on the conversation of what your kids are learning each week, and giving you some encouragement, because discipling kids is hard!

Take-Home Pages

This two-sided page, which kids receive after service each week, gives opportunities for kids to engage with the story during the week, and ways for you to lead your child as they dig into God’s word. These pages take the guesswork out of the age-old question: “What did you learn today?”

Next Steps

Helping your Child take their next steps of faith can be difficult when you are not sure what to say. The "Next Steps Resource for Kids" will provide a walkthrough guide to leading your child to Christ and how to take the step of faith to be baptized.
Check out the "Bible 101 for Families" resource for information on what the Bible is, how it was created, and a step-by-step guide to teach your children how to use the Bible!

Resource List

Check out this list, which will help you easily find some of the best resources out there for discipling your kids that are Biblically accurate and age-appropriate.

Connection Journals

As a church, we are doing a Bible reading plan together through our church wide Connection Journals! Inside will be daily reading prompts and space to journal your thoughts, prayers, and insights about the week's reading!

The weekly readings will follow along with the sermon series - but they aren’t just for adults! These journals are not only a great way to connect with other people at church, but a GREAT family resource for talking about the Bible together!

Click "How to Use It" for tips and tricks on using the Connection Journals with your family!
