Where We Came From
Where We Are Going
Eastland Church of God has a rich and wonderful heritage. The church began in 1948 as a few Christians committed to the Biblical message of holiness, Christian unity, and evangelism. In 1964 after meeting in houses and other church buildings, we became the Eastland Parkway Church of God when our location moved to Eastland Parkway. After moving to our current location in the early 1980s, we shortened it to Eastland Church of God.
Eastland Church of God exists to know Jesus more and to make Jesus known!

God
We believe in one God who reveals himself in three persons—
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all
things visible and invisible, and out of chaos
created order. Each person of the Trinity serves a unique role to bring God glory and accomplish his purposes in the world.

Salvation
We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis by which humans can have a relationship with God. God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for and forgiveness of their sin.

The Bible
We are a people of the Bible—the Old and New Testaments, supernaturally inspired, preserved across time, cultures, and continents, delivered to us, useful for reproof and instruction, for righteousness. The Bible is the authoritative source by which God guides people as they go through their daily lives.

Humanity
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to live in relationship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Vision
Knowing Jesus More
We believe that God calls us to grow closer to him through the power and work of the Holy Spirit.

We are convinced of God’s Truth and designs for our lives knowing they create freedom and flourishing.
